Free visual timer and stopwatch — online, no download needed

ZingoTools visual timer and stopwatch works instantly in your browser — no app, no sign-up, no download. Use it on any device including tablets, interactive whiteboards and classroom projectors.

Visual countdown timer

Choose from a shrinking circle timer or a shrinking bar timer. Set any duration using quick presets (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 45 or 60 minutes) or enter a custom time. The timer changes colour as time runs out — teal when plenty of time remains, yellow at halfway, orange when running low and red when almost done — giving an immediate visual sense of urgency without needing to watch numbers.

The hide numbers mode removes the digital display so the visual shape alone communicates time — useful in settings where number-watching causes anxiety. Fullscreen mode eliminates all distractions and works well on projectors, TV screens and large monitors.

Online stopwatch with lap timer

The built-in stopwatch counts up in minutes, seconds and centiseconds. Record split times and lap times with a single click. Best and slowest laps are highlighted automatically. A summary shows your best split, slowest split and average lap time — useful for sports training, cooking, classroom activities and timed exercises.

Pomodoro timer

The 25-minute Pomodoro preset is designed for the Pomodoro Technique — a focus method where you work for 25 minutes then take a short break. Repeat four times for a full Pomodoro cycle. This rhythm helps improve concentration, reduce procrastination and manage energy levels throughout the day.

Classroom and teaching use

Teachers use visual timers to manage transitions, test time, group activities and independent work. The large circle or bar is visible from the back of a classroom. Six alert sounds let you choose something appropriate — from a gentle bell to a soft pulse — without startling students.

How to use

Switch between Timer and Stopwatch using the tabs. For the timer, pick a preset or enter a custom duration and click Start. For the stopwatch, click Start to begin counting and ⚑ Lap to record split times.

Alert sound options

  • 🎶 Bells — three soft warm triangle tones. Gentle and calming.
  • 🐦 Cuckoo — two-tone cuckoo clock three times. Fun for children.
  • 🏆 Success — celebratory ascending fanfare. Great for rewarding completed sessions.
  • 🌊 Gentle — three barely-there soft pulses. For noise-sensitive environments.
